Common questions

Will the layout be preserved?

Yes — the document is rendered by a full office engine (the same import filters LibreOffice uses), so fonts, tables, images and page breaks come through faithfully for typical documents. Extremely complex layouts may shift slightly — always check the result.

Can I convert DOC to DOCX instead?

Yes — pick DOCX in the format picker to modernise the file instead of flattening it to PDF. ODT and plain text are also available.

I don't have Microsoft Word — does this still work?

That's exactly the point: the conversion happens on our servers, so you never need Word installed. Any browser works.

Is there a file size limit?

Free users can convert files up to 25 MB without an account. Pro raises that to 500 MB per file with 3,000 credits a month; Business goes to 5 GB.
