Why convert DOCX to PDF?

PDF is the universal document format for sharing and printing. Unlike DOCX, a PDF looks identical on every device — fonts don't substitute, layouts don't shift, and the recipient doesn't need Microsoft Word to open it. PDF is the standard for sending CVs, contracts, reports, and any document where formatting matters.

Will my fonts and images be preserved?

Yes — Formatly embeds fonts and images directly into the PDF output. Standard system fonts and common web fonts are supported. If you use a very unusual font that isn't installed on our servers, it may fall back to a close alternative. Embedded images in your DOCX are always preserved.

Can I convert password-protected Word documents?

No — password-protected DOCX files cannot be converted without first removing the password protection. Open the file in Microsoft Word, remove the password under File > Info > Protect Document, save, then upload the unprotected file.

Is there a file size limit?

Free users can convert DOCX files up to 25 MB without an account, or up to 10 conversions per day with a free account. Pro users get 500 MB per file and 3,000 credits a month. Business users get up to 5 GB.
