Remove PDF watermarks
you added yourself.

Strip draft stamps, "CONFIDENTIAL" overlays, and template watermark layers from your own PDFs. Useful when you're ready to send a document publicly that was previously marked internal.

Remove watermark →

Available on Pro (€9.99/mo), Business (€49.99/mo), and Enterprise. EU-hosted, files deleted after 1 hour.

⚠ For documents you own: this tool exists for cleaning up your own internal drafts, contractor stamps on your contracts, software-trial watermarks on your own exports, and similar legitimate cases. Removing watermarks from third-party documents you don't own may violate copyright law in your jurisdiction. By using this tool you confirm you have the right to modify the document.
Annotation-based watermarks
DRAFT / CONFIDENTIAL / APPROVED stamps added with Acrobat or Foxit's stamp tool. We remove them without touching the rest of the document.
Document-layer watermarks
Watermarks added as PDF optional content groups (a separate layer that can be toggled on/off). We hide them so the visible PDF is clean.
Private & secure
Documents are uploaded over HTTPS, processed in the EU, never shared, and permanently deleted within 1 hour.

How it works

1
Upload your PDF
Sign in to your Pro / Business / Enterprise account, open the "Remove PDF watermark" tool, drag your PDF in.
2
We strip the layers
We find watermark annotations and watermark-named optional content groups, remove them, and re-save the PDF with everything else intact.
3
Download the clean PDF
Watermark gone, every other page element preserved. If we didn't find a watermark we can safely remove, we tell you so — no silent failure.

What it can and can't remove

✅ Stamp annotations added with Acrobat / Foxit / other PDF editors

DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, APPROVED, REVIEWED, etc. — these are stored as PDF annotations and we remove them cleanly.

✅ Optional content group (OCG) watermark layers

Watermarks added as a separate layer that PDF readers can toggle on/off — common in document-management systems and templates. We mark them as always-hidden.

❌ Watermarks burned into scanned pixel data

If your PDF is a scan of a paper document that already has a watermark stamped on it, the watermark IS the pixel data — there's no separate layer to remove. We can't do AI image inpainting on scans (yet).

❌ Watermarks drawn into the page content stream as text or images

If the watermark was rendered as actual text or an image directly into the page (not as a separate annotation), it's indistinguishable from legitimate content. Removing it safely would require knowing it's "the watermark" — there's no programmatic way to tell.

❌ DRM-protected or password-protected PDFs

If your PDF has password protection or DRM, you need to remove that protection in Acrobat first (with the password). We don't attempt to bypass either — that would violate Adobe's terms and most jurisdictions' anti-circumvention laws.

Is there a file size limit?

Pro users get 500 MB per file. Business users get 5 GB. Watermark removal is fast — even a 500-page PDF processes in under a minute.
