Common questions

Why won't my WMV file play?

WMV (Windows Media Video) relies on codecs that ship with Windows but not with macOS, iOS, Android or most browsers. Without Windows Media Player or the right codecs installed, the file simply won't open. Converting to MP4 — which every modern device supports natively — fixes this in one step.

Will converting reduce the quality?
