Does it work on scanned PDFs?
No — this pulls an existing text layer and doesn't OCR. If your PDF is a scan (an image of text), run the OCR tool first, then extract the text.
Will formatting be kept?
No — a .txt file holds plain text only. Layout, fonts and images are dropped. For a faithful copy with layout, keep the PDF.
Is there a file size limit?
