Common questions

Why convert a HEIC photo to PDF?

HEIC is Apple's default photo format, and many people who aren't on an iPhone can't open it at all. PDF, by contrast, opens on every device and prints at a predictable size — so a phone photo of a contract, receipt or handwritten note becomes a document anyone can read, sign or file.

Do I need to convert HEIC to JPG first?

No. This tool decodes the HEIC photo and wraps it in a PDF in one step, so you don't have to chain two conversions. If you do want a JPG as well, use our separate HEIC to JPG converter.

Does it reduce the photo quality?

The photo is decoded from HEIC and placed into the PDF at full resolution, so it looks the same as the original on screen and prints sharply. PDF is a fixed-layout wrapper around the image, not a re-compression of it.

Is there a file size limit?

Free users can convert HEIC files up to 25 MB without an account, or up to 10 conversions per day with a free account. Pro users get 500 MB per file and 3,000 credits a month. Business users get up to 5 GB.
